A van den Heuvel Advocatuur is a dedicated and ambitious law firm, led by G.H.A. (Alex) van den Heuvel. He is pragmatic and aims for the best result and most durable solution, through amicable agreement or, if necessary, litigation. In his hands, your case will receive the attention it deserves.
Mr. Alex van den Heuvel is an experienced lawyer, graduated cum laude from the Open University and Utrecht University, with years of work experience at large national and international organizations, both government and non-profit, such as the Dutch Immigration Service (IND), the United Nations and Amnesty International. He gained his first expertise in immigration and refugee law and human rights (particularly international labor law). His work took him to countries such as Israel, Eritrea and England, where he spent several years. As a result, he speaks several languages: fluent English, good Hebrew and French at a reasonable working level.
In 2014, he decided to return to the Netherlands to open his own legal office, primarily focusing on Dutch and European employment law and immigration law (alien law), although he also takes on other civil and administrative law cases.
In addition to his law studies at the Open University (BA) and Utrecht University (MA), he completed two specialization courses in employment law (also cum laude), including a PAO course in employment law at Leiden University.
Additionally he completed his training as a mediator in 2017 at the recognized mediation institute MTi.
